There is a lot of conflicting statements above.
1. You can not get 350 PSI on the discharge if the compressor is not working. Because of that, you can say the clutch coil is working and nothing is keeping it from turning on. This pressure, however, indicates it was a very hot day (95F+) If it was a cool day, then 150 PSI at the discharge would be ok. If you had such high discharge pressure on a cool day, you would have to look for air contamination.
2. Topping off with a DIY single pressure gage on the suction can be dangerous since you can overcharge the system. The suction pressure on the compressor will normally between 40 to 50 PSI for a very wide range of ambient temperatures. The discharge pressure will, however, will vary greatly based on the ambient temperature. Using a DIY kit with one suction gauge should only be used to just get you to 50 PSI and then you must STOP. If the DIY is done on a cooler day, then there may not be enough charge to get you to the higher discharge pressures of a hot day. That's why measuring the charge weight into the system is so important so you can cover all of the different ambient temperatures without developing excessive discharge pressure.
3. I find interesting you had warm air on the drivers side, cool air on the passenger side yet indicating 350 PSI discharge. If you have two zone auto heat control, do not rule out the possibility of a electronic temperature controller failure which then failed completely. that will also give you no AC and perhaps the electronic burnout smell in the cabin. It would also shutoff signal to turn on the compressor.
4. Qualified AC peson is so important in sorting this out.
