The layer of paint on the hood badge is very thin. Mine sloshed off on winter when a pile if snow slid off the hood. Don't try cleaning it.

You either need a new one or some places can support a silicone disc that will stick onto the badge if it loses its paint layer. My last replacement came from Greece. I'm not sure that hesstill in business, but I'll check.
