2008 9.5 replaced Compressor ( was leaking ) receiver/drier. exp valve, H/P hose

Vacuum held 3 tests--30 pounds held 12 hours 3 times all great
Refill specs roughly 2.5 pounds R134A
Added one can and system was 100 H 70 low *
did bubble test for leaks and sniffer testing - all good
Added second pound and had 125 H 65 low *
* Both times after closing low side from refill tank, low side needle took minute to slowly drop
NOTE< low side would raise to 80 for 10-15 seconds then slowly to 70 ? did this surge 4 times?
Added half pound more and high only reached 140, and low needle stayed at 110 ( fill tank pressure? )
THEN high side stayed at 140 and low stayed at 110 for long time with low side valve closed
only after 5 minutes did low side needle extremely slow ( one psi every 30 seconds ! ) only reached 80 again for low after 15 minutes.

Oil added was 2 OZ or bit less as some always spills.
question: can too much oil hydro lock ( GNM style ) expansion valve?
The new receiver drier site glass is on the bottom where all lines enter rec/drier too
So site glass does show suds like foam and then with more freon added, not a watery freon but comp oil relatively slowly moving half way in suite window

So: 2 ox oil does not really raise a red flag, yet I do think the 2 oz I added in new compressor was too much and if it was liquid oil in upside down rec drier …
Site glass is just before HP liquid line ( in 4 feet ) enters expansion valve. I believe in this system, more oil was getting too exp valve

So: I am of mind to rep[lace exp valve w new and replace receiver drier with new and when exp valve off blow out evap and when rec drier off blow out condenser.

Figure the compressor expelled excess it was given ( 2 oz ) by running 20 – 30 minutes in shop

Some web data :

What causes high pressure on the low side of AC?
AI Overview
High pressure on the low side of an AC system can be caused by an overcharged system, a restricted expansion valve or orifice tube, a failing or blocked condenser, or a malfunctioning condenser fan. Other potential causes include a damaged evaporator coil, too much refrigerant oil, or a malfunctioning compressor control valve
