Had same mouse HomeSweetHome above gas tank too!! Luckily, only had nibbled some insulation on wires I could repair. Unfortunately, that damaged fuel line you have is definitely not rubber!! It is a hard plastic tubing that requires a special press fit tool to force it onto the fuel pump connector lug. You run risk of not having enough slack cutting back past the chewed area and/or age brittleness of the fuel pump lug when press fitting the pipe on. Takes a special tool. Maybe your mechanic has experience with thes type of lines and fittings. Maybe a way to splice on a fuel resistance rubber hose piece and small metal connector pipe with hose clamps. I had no luck under the hood trying to work with such plastic piping for the emissions system.
