A lot of our cars come pre-wired with an antennae cable for a roof mounted antennae. My car is a '99, and I assume the cable is there even though there is nn antennae installed.
The new cars come with the shark-fin type. Does that require drilling holes through the roof panel? Or, is it glued on so that it transmits signal through the panel similar to how a backlight mounted antennae works?
