$100 labor sounds about right. $450 is crazy. For parts, you need the cell phone manufacturer's car kit (such as Nokia CARK-91), the Triad, the Saab mounting plastic part (optional), and the antenna. My understanding is that for TDMA or CDMA, you cannot use the antenna in the Shark Fin (at least as of 2 yrs ago); maybe you can use it for an analog cell phone (which is what Onstar uses) - I don't know. You do not need the Saab adaptor, as you'll be making your own connections into the stereo system (again, unless something has changed since 2 yrs ago). I did the install myself.
I agree with Lou that it's not a DIY job for everyone. However, you don't need to be an engineer -- you just need to have patience, the ability to follow instructions, and be comfortable taking things apart in your car. Mine came out right the first time, and I had a lot of fun doing it. It probably took 3 hrs, double the time listed on the Uhltronics site, plus the time to buy the parts and get familiar with the installation instructions. Bottom line: If you're considering doing a self-install to save some money, don't. If you want to DIY because you think it's a project you'll enjoy, go for it!
