I had serious reservations about replacing my '95 9000CS with anything other than a 4WD. But then I drove an Aero (5 sp), and that was the end of the debate. I was told that I would need snow tires, something I have never felt were necessary. I bought the Saab Gislaved winter package, and have absolutely no regrets. They are fantastic, the car is fantastic in the winter weather. The other day the entire circle in front of our house was olympic quality ice, sloping away from the driveway. Getting out was no problem, but I figured I might not get home until spring. I drove slowly over it (couldn't walk on it), slightly uphill, and the wheels didn't even spin. Our driveway has been a nightmare all winter, long and uphill. Snow, ice, you name it. I can't get a running start because the spoiler will hit the pavement, but I have had absolutely no problems. I'm still wondering what the TCS is for? No regrets here, you'll love the car!
