Triad-Nokia v. Onstar Analog v. noise cancelling headset?

I have a '01 9-5 with OnStar and have been considering replacing my Star-Tac with the Triad-Nokia handsfree setup -- especially now that I have a manual transmission. One reservation I have is that I am not impressed with the sound quality from the roof mounted microphone when I have tried OnStar Personal Calling...even at less than highway speeds and in areas where signal strength is strong. Of course, for reasons I cannot fathom, OnsStar is strictly an analog. (When I asked a representative in the OnStar cellular department why they were analog only, she said the reason was that "90% of the country has analog, but only 50% of the country has digital." Apparently, they haven't heard of dual mode technology).
*For those who have gone with the Triad-Nokia setup, is the sound quality better than OnStar when you are in digital mode?
*An alternative is to get a noise-cancelling headset for my Star-Tac. Anyone out there have any experience with those?
