All season tires are like their name indicates it
a compromise... not a good thing for an Aero.

What you might wana do is one of the following:
a) Get the Gislaved or other package that comes with
4 16' rims and tires (16' is the min size on the Aero)
I got a Dunlop Winter package with 16' Talladega rims,
and it was a lot more then $800, but thats Europe.
b) Ask dealer if he has some Klingons left that an
other customer didn't take, some buy the BBS wheels
and leave em to the dealer. You could use those with
some 17' winter tires.

One more thing, the original OEM Michelin Tires are a waste
of time. They can get out of round and suck up nails like
a vacum cleaner. I replaced mine with Dunlops SP9000s which
are just as good and less expensive. There is also a new
SP9000 Super Sport Tire, which is better on dry then the
regular one. ( I had 3 punctures, 1 out of round with the
Michelins, and as I drive on the Autobahn, I always had to
replace them, even by pairs in some cases)

In any case, I would not hesitate to take the Aero, I was
in the same situation LPT or Aero and I don't regret the Aero
at all, it is one fun car with the 5spd or as an Auto. I think
I would regret it if I had taken the LPT... but then again I would
not drive an Aero and notice it less.

Regards,
Coolknight drives a 2000 9-5 Aero 5spd
