the space for 10W/40 was bare and I didn't see placards for any other viscosity blends although I seem to remember they previously carried more than just the two. Both signs read $5.99 which seemed lower than in the past.

They also had Royal Purple(?) brand synthetic which I hadn't seen in a store before. It and all the Mobil 1's were $4.99/quart.

Guess I'll be buying a VC gasket to replace my original one and performing the head re-torque soon too. I haven't messed with it yet since I have not had any symptoms of the problem.
