Just for the record, GM has tried this re-badging scheme once before with it's beloved Chevy SUV platform. Not surprisingly, you may not have heard of the Isuzu Ascender which is that company's (or advertising agency's, depending on how you look at things) version of the long-wheelbase TrailBlazer. They haven't exactly sold in droves and Isuzu is far closer to its end than Saab is right now. (At least in the North-American market) One would think that GM would have learned its re-badging lesson from the confusion the company faced with its brands in the late eighties and early nineties. I for one would love to see a new version of the 900SPG using the mechanics of the 9-5 (Opel or not) with a three-door hatch body.
