buy two inserts (in case you screw one up after they are closed for the weekend) from their shop stock and leave your credit card # as a deposit to borrow the insertion tool for a day or two (or Sat. til Mon. which guarantees they won't be needing it). Bring the old insert. The insertion kit will have the right tap to clean your threads up. I would try letting the sump drain overnight then jack the front of the car up so no oil is dripping from the drain port. Then clean up threads with the tap and follow it up with Brakleen and compressed air and drive in Helicoil with some Loktite on it. The Loktite should help seal if the threads have minor damage as well as hold it in better.
