I haven't done this on a Saab, only on a VW. I hope its similar...
The spade connector that's 'imbedded' in the plastic fusebox is really snapped in. Built into the connector is a kind of barb which snaps into place when you push the wire connector into the bottom of the fusebox. I've used a jeweler's screwdriver to unlatch it, then pull the wire out. Its kind of a PITA to do.
The wire goes thru a 6-pin connector at/under the cabin air intake box on the other side of the engine compartment. Same color blue on both sides of the connector. Maybe easier to get to? Don't just unplug the entire connector 'cause your fuel pump power goes thru it, too.
Or... how about a small piece of electrical tape wrapped around the pin on the bottom of the relay. I don't know if that would be strong enough so the connector doesn't cut thru it.
