Ruled out the 'TK' connection

I used the tape on the relay pin idea... it seemed to hold up going in/out of connector. I didn't have any electrical tape handy, so I used masking tape...should insulate well enough for the test.
Anyway, with 'TK' pin insulated, thereby eliminating that connection, I noticed absolutely no difference. Car still runs, A/C compressor still doesn't click on. Maybe we're backwards, and the connection is stuck off, when it's supposed to be on?
I checked again, and contrary to what I originally thought, one cooling fan DOES come on when I hit the A/C switch. I also notice a VERY subtle, brief reduction in the idle speed, but not the sustained dropoff that usually occurs when the A/C is functioning. All this is independent of 'TK' pin insulated or not.
I would find it remarkably coincidental that the A/C had some sort of independent failure at the same time the LH computer was replaced. But, of course, theoretically possible.
Puzzled,
'Roo
