Since you are replacing the slave cyl, you might as well saw the piston rather than messing around with the pressure plate spacer. Pull the clutch shaft first, so you don't saw into it, and a sawzall or a fresh hacksaw blade will make the job easy. Dull hacksaw blade as described below makes for a tiring task. The piston is aluminum so with a good quality fresh hacksaw blade, the job goes fast even without a sawzall.

The clutch shaft seal can be hard to remove, but Craftsman's biggest screwdriver(18" I think) has never failed to pry one out by the lip. This screwdriver has never seen a screw, but gets lots of use!!!

Before you install the new clutch make sure you lube the clutch shaft splines with either brake caliper grease or anti-seize. This will help prevent reverse gear crunch.

Also make sure you gently get the clutch shaft into the flywheel pilot bearing before you bolt down the pressure plate and remove the spacer wire. This keeps the disk loose so you can wiggle the shaft/disk around and get the assembly lined up with the center of the pilot bearing. You can damage the pilot bearing if you try to tap the shaft in and the shaft hits the bearing off center. Again...leading to reverse gear crunch.

I have never had to remove the radiator, but always put a towel over the end of the shaft to protect the radiator from damage. Piece of wood will also work fine.

consider a new seal for the trans cover plate, since these like to leak.
