John brings up an important point about drilling the master yoke. Now I know why my self doubt was well founded !!! I suppose there are 2 ways to approach this, find a bushing that is 3/8ths in diameter while maintaining the same inside diameter of the original bushing. (this way you're only drilling the pedal and not the MC yoke.) Hmm... Where to find this bushing??? I have no idea ! I certainly can't advise you to expand the scope of the project by removing the MC to drill the yoke. Especially if the condition of the MC comes into question - going down that road could quickly turn into a nightmare.
Which is why I would urge you to go with the other alternative: Buy a new pedal from a dealership. It's 40 bucks, but if you're like me, and there is any doubt in your mind about what you're doing, then this is the safest and most reliable way of dealing with the problem.
