If you buy a C 900 convertible, beware of wind noise at freeway speed coming from the door and top seals. They become compressed overtime and tend to create some intense whistling. I suggest spending the $140 per door and order a set of new seals. Previously, I would "tweak" the position of the windows with the switches ever so slightly (just 1/4 of an inch or less) to decrease the wind noise, but seal replacement is the only real long term cure. I would guess that this is problematic of many older convertibles. One other thing...when searching for a car to buy, most will probably have a replacement top by now. All classic 900's used Haartz fabric (also used on Mercedes, Jaguar) There are cheaper fabric top kits on the market, but they tend to strech, leaving a little bit of slack when the top is up. This is noticeable in the forward 1/3 of the top when it is up. One can find a replacement canvas (not including glass) for around $250-300 and then its up to you to find a good upholstery shop to install it (almost always cheaper than going to a dealer).
