i understand the rear stock bars wear out, so my advice is to buy a new one. the 87 SPG i bought had the SAS rear bar already installed. Wonder why... perhaps the original one wore out?
the SAS bar looks easier to install that the stock bar too.

87 SPG
86 notchback
ps your 86 should be drilled for front sway bar, so keep an eye out for a bar and all 4 mounting brackets and bushings at the junkyard. The fronts dont really wear out, so find a turbo car and you are golden! they can be a bit of a pain to get out of the car depending on what front suspension pieces are still on the car. you may have to take a lower control arm off in order to get clearance. that's 4 extra nuts - not bad.
