They have electronic & audio widgets for building just about anything & knowledgeable customer svc. personnel willing to help over the phone...prob. email too. I find having their catalog in front of me to be a lot easier than navigating the website & always inadvertently find stuff I just can't live without! Call 800 338 0531 for a free catalog.
FYI as we Saab types often have similar tastes...they have a neat SPST switch w/built in LED indicator that's very compact & unobtrusive - I have two of them mounted side by side in the blank that goes where a pwr. sunroof switch would be. I use them to interrupt the turn on signal going to separate amps when extra power or bass isn't needed when I'm listening to AM talk radio. They are also great for tripping a relay feeding high current draw items. There are red & green LED switches, part #060-405 & 060-410 respectively.
The built in LED requires 3v, so you must order (cheap) & solder in (easy) a resistor between the center terminal & LED + term. to reduce 12-14v down to 3v...I don't remember the rating (it's been years) but call them, they'll know.......I just popped the switches out & here's the color band code on the resistor(s) - blue/gold/brown/black/brown...or the other way around (starting w/brown). The LED's will tolerate quite a bit on either side of 3v & I think I opted to go with resistors having a higher rating to pass something like 2v so the LED's would be dimmer & last longer.
Good luck w/your project!
