i can't comment, but if the oil filter is warm, that is at least a good sign (not 100% that oil is circulating, but a good sign). i looked at pulling the oil pump when i had my 'issue', but decided that it was a whole world i didn't feel like getting into that afternoon. took me 20 minutes to pull the relief valve, figured at least 3 hours to pull and replace the pump, not to mention the gasket (which i didn't have).
where did you get the idea to use vasoline? (new one on me!)
