i've made some progress finally on my 87 SPG. here's the previous post:
http://www.saabnet.com/tsn/bb/900/index.html?bID=355148
i was trying to get more voltage to the APC solenoid (was only getting 0.4v) to trigger it. By sheer luck, with the key on, jiggled the APC fuse and lo and behold the solenoid clicked and i found 10 volts (finally ) at the solenoid!
but the car still was stalling, so at my wits end i set about to check the turbo inlet pipe for leaks, and instead noticed that the curvey hose from intake to BPV had disconnected at the valve!
So, car is running much better now, and thanks to all posters. I still need a vacuum pump to check the transducer, but wiring is intact.
thanks again,
Wayne in Calgary
