Doesn't a cambered alternator increase your gas mileage?
My original bushings lasted 18 years before I happened to be in there and wanted to take care of it. They can last 20 or however long until the rubber breaks down or much much less than that if they are overtightened or soaked with oil. I'm not sold on PU yet for this application after I tried them on my first car and it ended up cracking the alternator mounting bracket by passing along more vibration. The same thing applies for my suspension bushings, all original, all 20+ years old. Oh no, the passenger A arm bushings are starting to squeak. The alignment is still okay, so when I do replace them, I'm using rubber.
