Please show me another example ANYWHERE in the engine-using world where someone else decided to cushion their alternator mounts. Most alternators are mounted with just a bolt or two, no bushings. I find it very odd that Saab engineers went out of their way to rubber mount a rather smooth load of an alternator, then a few years after that, they solid-mount the shock load of an AC compressor, not even following their own wacky example.
