It sound like the seat is electric that your talking about! If it's anything like my wife's 97/850t Volvo, then the cable from the motor to the seat adjustment has broken. I haven't tried to fix it yet, but I was thinking to go make the cable-up at the marine supply store in the area. West Marine would make for you or you can make it yourself. Right now the adjusted seat can only be set at the straight-up prosistion. I have no ideal as to fixing it at this time, it will be trail and error.
