Thanks for the response Ray- my language wasn't very precise so i'll rephrase.
The clutch engages (ie. pressure plate and driven plate clamp together to drive the wheels) maybe an inch off the floor when released which i'm pretty confident is too low based on clutch jobs i've done in the past and the clutch action of my 4 other 900s. You have to make certain to jamb the pedal all the way down before shifting or you get a nasty grind between gears.
Also, when pressed the pedal doesn't meet any real resistance until is is depressed perhaps 2" from its resting position. In other words for that first 2" of travel it feels like no pressure is being applied to the hydraulic system.
It's been bled backwards and forward a number of times now so my feeling is that there is something wrong with the master- perhaps the rebuild isn't cutting it and i need to cough up for a new one.
