Switch from SPG Springs to Standard Springs

My 1993 900 Turbo CW has the lower SPG springs installed from the factory. I switched to Koni shocks already in an attempt to soften the ride since the roads are really bad in my area. The Konis are set to full soft front and rear. Tires are new Nokian H tires in 195 60 15" . Still the ride is pretty bad. So, I am considering installing the taller springs which would also help with snow clearance.
My question, if I install those longer springs, will an alignment be necessary? What else must be changed on the car? Can I just compress the springs on at a time and slip in the longer ones?
Thanks!
-Douglas
