I'm a capable wrench turner. The list of things I haven't done to a c900 is pretty short.
This is "something completely different" as Monty would say ;)
I'm trying to put a square peg in a round hole & didn't have enough common sense to say 'uncle'.
Well, I'm saying it now!
Btw, the Saabsite FAQ you linked me too only covered the basic overhaul procedure (I can do that in my sleep). It didn't get into "cross breeding" (perhaps "inbreeding" in this case) different distributor parts...or esoteric modification of any sort. I avoid Googling topics bc I don't have the time or patience to investigate the myriad of results...most of which are inevitably dead ends.
I'll revisit the experiment when motivation sparks again. Next time I think I'll keep it simple & try transplanting only the Hall pickup (from whatever vehicle) into the correct distributor body. I'll have to get one of those first ;)
