I have a 5foot breaker bar (old radiator pipe)...220 ft lbs divided by 5 ft is 44lbs at the end of the bar. I used a 45 lb weight (barbell weight) at the end...bounced it gently to ensure it got to the full 220. never looked back.
Doing your own bearings is a fun job, eh? I was very satisfied with it. Control arm bushings are 'fun' too. not really, though.
