Dumping brake fluid along rear axle

So, I'm barely keeping up with repairs these days, but this is a big one...
I'm dumping brake fluid along the rear axle. The line of brake fluid following the car to where it's parked in the driveway suggests that it's leaking where the brake lines meet along the rear axle, offset slightly to the passenger's side of center (if someone knows what the thing is called that connects the lines, that might help me find parts).
Anyways, I'm a bit of a newb to auto repair, although the SPG is certainly giving me plenty of practice. How do I go about fixing this absolutely insane leak? Do I need to replace the thing that connects the lines?
Also, if anyone has any recommendations of something I can use to get the grease and crud out of there, that'd be helpful to see what I'm looking at. It's pretty dense stuff.
