Saabrage,
First of all, is Nick already said, your distributor works as distributor only. It isn't that ignition sensor-distributor as many folks think when looking at it. So wherever you turn it you don't change timing, that remains being a function of EZK control unit (that works with crank position sensor to get current RPM and fuel ecu that supplies it with Tq signal from where it reads the current engine load). In EZK system the dizzy only distributes the high voltage from the ignition coil over the spark plugs.
From what I've read from your post I can suggest the following:
- fast 1st attempt and slow next ones. Either battery or starter motor is worn out. Or going to be sooner or later (more sooner). Or alternator.
- it starts only on the 4th attempt and you need to have the throttle kept opened not to stall. Dude, it looks like you've got either leaking injectors or clogged injectors or clogged the fuel-backline (the return line) or killed fuel-pressure regulator or such (I assume you were careful when checking it for vacuum leaks and there're none now). It also may be the air-mass meter or temperature sensor (that works with LH system, not the other one that runs the temp needle on your clocks) - but I'd start with injectors.
Or it really may be AIC valve - it's its function to keep the engine running when throttle is fully closed. Yep, I noticed you said you have it checked - but how did you check it?
A good test that costs no money (unless you break a spark plug when bolting in or out) - check your spark plugs tomorrow morning before the 1st attempt. Is any of them wet? Benzina fragrance? If so, then you do have leaking injector (or - plural - injectors if it's more then one).
Good luck.
