I am spending the rainy weekend here in Colorado getting to know my 88-Vert. There are a couple things that I see that I'd like to fix, but don't want to do something that diminishes the value, etc.

The fabric on the door panels and rear speaker panels are faded and a little stained. They are in tact and could be left. They would just look better if I replaced the fabric.

My assumption is that the more original you can keep the car the better off you are. In lue of keeping original parts, certainly year and model specific is the next best thing.

What is the rule of thumb in the Saab community for restoring and is there extra value placed on original parts albeit faded, etc?
