First of all, there are NO SPG Convertibles for the US market. There are some special editions that have the Aero trim kit, and maybe even the motor tweaks, but no convertible got the lowered suspension, and none was designated "SPG" in sales literature from SAAB or SCUSA.
Your car has the "Airflow kit" front and rear bumpers on it. These are completely different bumper covers and bumper extensions than were offered on the SPG. The SPGs had the standard bumper covers, with a front spoiler extension below, and different, taller bumper extensions front and rear.
AFAIK, the only way that car left the factory with that particular combination of everything, would be if it was an early demo model brought into the US to show off the Airflow kit to the dealers. If it's an early production (low serial # and/or build date someplace between May and August, 1987), it could well be that kind of car. Buyers could never order that combo from the factory, but certainly could have their dealer kit it out later.
