I have an 88 spg with another failed brake booster . this one was put in a few months ago and worked fine until a few days ago when the classic break booster symptoms started showing up . this will be the third time I need to replace the booster in 2 years . my replacements have been tested good used boosters . I chose used boosters because I have read here that these don't fail very often , but now I'm questioning that idea . as I thought about this job that I don't feel like doing with the temperatures in the 20's a possible temporary solution came to mind . I would appreciate some technical feedback on this idea . since I determined the leak is inside the booster I thought it might be sealed temporarily with the aerosol product " fix a flat " or something similar . of course I would try to do this in a way that would not expose the engine to the gooey chemicals , that's if they fully dry after a reasonable amount of time and don't get sucked into the intake after the repair is done and I replace the vacuum hose . so what do you guys think about this very unprofessional idea ?
