Replacement ign key cylinder and keys (genuine Saab) is available from an eSponsor for ~$80; Bentley has a pretty decent description of procedure for replacement [Basically, you'll need to remove the various torx screws that hold the center console in place, find the portal on the drivers side collar of existing switch and insert a punch/drift to release the remnants of your old cylinder and yank it out. Insert and seat the replacement and you're good to go.
Disclaimers and tips: 1. Few Saab repairs go according to plan, so the preceding is merely best-case scenario; 2. It's been a few years since I did the procedure and I could be missing some details, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't much more complicated than the above (although I may have had to disassemble the ignition casing, but if so it wasn't very memorable or traumatic); 3. You'll make your job easier by removing the drivers seat to afford access to the target.
I guess it all depends on your level of DIY capacity and disposable income, but it's very do-able.
