Dude,
Sorry for a bit rude accent but trading C900 for smth else only cause of your friends that do not like it - that's childish. Trust me, if you get yourself even smth like F150 on 24"-ish rims with shining spinners - they'll find smth else to treat you with.
Phil, take my word: take it as is, accept their scepticism re your C900 and just start laughing at their rides. Then start looking for turbo engine to put into your baby cause n/a C900 is only 1/2 C900 ;-)

And... Have you watched Good Will Hunting? If not then then you really need to watch it. Check that very episode when Shawn asks Will about his friends (and Will goes with those Shakespeare, Nietzsche and so on) + check another episode when Shawn's telling his story about how he met his wife. For reasons that are long to put here I take your friends to be not friends of yours at all. Just don't take those dudes seriously.
