Yikes! That looks worse than hole I just patched on my SiS, but not as bad as the driver side floor on my junk yard SPG. From underneath, every thing looked fine. I pulled the interior for a good cleaning and discovered a puffy spot on the passenger side. Years of moisture ate a small section of the passenger side front pan. I removed most of the sound deadening material, and coated the pans in POR 15 (marine clean and metal ready first of coarse).
The foam under the carpet traps water. From now on, I will pull the carpets at least once a year to check for water.
