Right! You explained it well. It's just hard to absorb because so many things are contingent on other activities that don't all happen at the same time. If the lavender wire is grounded the fuel pump should run as long as the key is on. The injector pulse is a different story and is best checked with a noid light. I know someone who grounds the lavender wire on a regular basis but he's taking a chance. So far so good.
