When my fuel pump quit, I had the same symptoms. Started one day, then no start. Just flat-out quit.
You can buy just the pump and use your old housing. That will be less expensive ($75 vs $300+) but requires more work. The fuel pump and housing from a 2002 or so 9-5 will also fit, you just need to remove the fuel level sending float, as the 900 uses a separate sending unit. The clamp that holds the fuel lines on the top of the pump housing is a bit different too.
You need to remove the wooden floor (two torx screws) and then a 8" or so round cover to get at the electrical connections and fuel lines and then remove the pump and housing.
One thing to do when you are removing the old pump housing, is use some penetrating oil on the hoses first and let it soak for a bit. The end pieces on the fuel lines are plastic and are press fit into the housing. Soaking them first, makes them easier to pull out. If you break one, you'll be adding more time and grief to the project.
Clean of blow away any crud that is around the pump housing before you remove the retaining ring. You don't want all that debris falling into the tank. The ring has internal tabs on it that you can cut a small piece of wood to fit in to make a tool (ala Zeke) to get the ring off if you can't borrow the special tool from someone.
Be sure to buy a new sealing ring as well, unless you like smelling gas.
