I know where both rheostats are, and which lights are controlled by which rheostat. I've also used green LED lighting for the general instrument lighting in my red '90 SPG since about 2005/2006, using both the 6 bulb and the 5 bulb. Best combo I've found is a green 6 LED in the right socket, and old #161 in the left lamp. Not too bright, but just some improvement.
But, no ideas where to start looking for why neither bulb or LED lights up? I will try bending the contacts on the sockets tomorrow, as suggested. And thanks for your inputs. Vern
