9000Aero,
Yes you will see the axle spin while the car stands still, engine running, in gear if there are stripped splines somewhere. (Have someone in the car with their foot on the brake and hand on the key while you look down at the axles.) Not real common but certainly known to happen and will cause a "barely move" or "not move at all condition". Re-reading your previous posts (which are a little confusing) I get the impression that (as others have suggested) you have a shift linkage issue, like a defective shift coupling or worn out bushing, along with a worn out clutch. None of those are big deals to repair. Replacing the clutch in the C900 is much easier than in most other cars. If anything is slipping inside the transmission, and that's not a common failure mode at all but could theoretically happen, then it's transmission rebuild time, but that's a super long-shot. Of course the transmission may coincidentally (in addition to a worn out clutch and shift linkage) be worn out and ready for rebuilding. You'll have to drive it at speed in all gears to know that. Identifying a clutch that slips so badly the car won't move is just a matter of popping off the clutch shaft cover at the top of the chaincase and seeing if the clutch shaft will spin with the engine off and the car in neutral. Good luck, I'd probably buy that car unless it's badly rotted out.
