Depends on what you mean by "temporarily". Those belts drive the water pump so you want to replace them ASAP but driving around a little probably won't hurt anything. Watch your temp gauge and don't be surprised if you run your battery down. It's a little concerning that one of them just broke. Makes me wonder if the alternator bearings are seizing up or something.
