Except for a brief courting with Dexcool in my '90 SPG sometime around 1999, I have used nothing but green stuff + distilled water in all my Saabs for 20+ years. I change it on purpose every 2-3 years, but sometimes it takes longer to get to it. Can't really say I've had any problems. Frankly, I think as long as a major name coolant is used the chances of your coolant causing problems - above anything else - is very, very low. Let's face it, the b-series motor developed a reputation for reliability LONG before any of the fancy new coolants came out... I don't remember people lamenting failed cooling systems in their 900s back in 1994. The newer fluids were designed to protect aluminum engines and/or be more environmentally friendly and/or tolerate owner neglect better (long change intervals, or using tap water). That's my opinion, anyway.
