that's not quite clear from the DIY page is that the best way to get the slave out is lift the entire assembly (clutch disk, pressure plate and slave) out as a single unit. It takes some wiggling to get it off the pins and out , but it works. I sort of just roll it out to my right as I face the engine bay. If I am not replacing the slave, I leave it attached to the hose so that I won't have to bleed the system.
