Just to make it clear once and for all: SPG is a package which Saab didn't encode into the VIN. Yes, it was offered only with the turbo-charged and fuel-injected engine and manual 5-speed transmission and with three-door hatchback body. And thus all SPG's must have '3' in the 6th VIN character (which stands for 3-door hatchback body) and '5' in the 7th VIN character (which stands for 5-speed manual transmission) and 'L' in the 8th VIN character (which means it features a turbo-charged fuel-injected engine with interim charge-cooler for boosted air-charge). But there're lot's of other YS3Ax35LxxxNNNNNN cars which lack that SPG package installed and it is the certain body number NNNNNN + model year code and production plant code which determine whether it came equipped with that package or not. You've got to have an access to Saab Serial Production database (that very list which has already be mentioned in this thread below) to say if YS3AT35LXK2111220 and YS3AT35LXK2111221 are both SPG's or only the 1st one is an SPG and the 2nd one is not or none of them featured the SPG package.
I hope this make it as clear as possible.
