APC Pressure Transducer Posted by Haskell60 [Email] (#1511) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Haskell60) on Sun, 18 Jan 2015 17:04:46 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Hi - I have a turbo with the APC Solenoid constant clicking at idle, and just base boost (pressure seems to go to mid yellow at best). The clicking does stop if I press the brake pedal. My car has EGR (for now) and had a cruise control system, but the turn signal is a non-cruise stalk and the vacuum line is not connected to the cruise control switch.
After cleaning contacts of the APC box and the APC Solenoid, I am suspecting the APC Pressure Transducer. I am planning on buying a used one that works and replacing it to see if that solves the issue. Do I have the remove the knee bolster to replace it, though? I can see with a flashlight and it appear to be connected properly.
Thanks, Rich
(I don't have any testing tools to measure pressure, so I have to replace with working parts until the problem is fixed).
