Josh,
welcome to da club. As for your question:
- get down and check the suspension because with stiff shocks all the backlashes and freeplays give an awful feeling of driving a rusty basket. You might need to replace ball joints and/or tie rods and/or bushing bits;
- as I said above, soft springs (either soft by design or because they are old and worn) give really harsh ride if combined with stiff shocks. So your old springs might be worth replacing with new ones;
- C900 Konis are of adjustable type and your set may be set to the most stiff setting. You can check this (and adjust) when you remove a shock absorber off the car. Most people notice the difference between 0-100% settings, but don't expect miracles, Koni shocks are more stiff rather then soft even when set to the lowest 0% setting;
- if you're into more smooth ride, then consider replacing Konis with Sachs/Boge Touring shocks. Koni are pretty high valued (and there's a reason for that) so you won't have problem selling yours unless they are worn/damaged (e.g. leaking). Also check the tires and if you're on something like 205/55 then this is also your problem here, it is worth changing back to the stock 195/60-R15 size. You can even try 195/65-R15 if you don't like pushing it to the limits when steering around.
Good luck,
Zig
