Hello,
If i don't have an amp meter/clamp handy I have made a test lead that has a fuse holder in it and powered the fan directly to the battery. I start with a 5 amp fuse and work my way up until the fuse doesn't blow/go open starting the fan. Since the fuse in the fuse block is a 30 amp you expect the 15 or 20 amp fuse to not blow/go open. The general rule is the draw should be under 2/3 of the circuit. If the fan tests good you can look at the rest of the circuit for a short. Good Luck, Bernie
