The 9000 Aero would have given that Q45 a run for it's money......at least in 3rd gear :-)
Visiting Phoenix over the last few days, I was amazed at the number of Corvettes that populated the streets. Almost as many as the Bentley verts in Scottsdale.....so, driving in a friends E550 AMG Mercedes that was chipped and suspension enhanced we came off a sweeping two lane procedure turn to dump on a freeway and jumped the hotrod Corvette accelerating up the long on-ramp out in the open on an interstate. We backed out, the vette caught up, and then dropped the hammer on the AMG pulled away, and then settled down......whoa nelly....no need to get too frisky......SO, the Vette driver keeps the throttle down, passes us and keeping on the gas around the bend to an awaiting AZ sheriff. Case closed. Wonder if they impounded his car for the triple digit speeding ticket.....OH, and the brakes on the Merc are awesome as well. Huge front rotors and calipers. We were able to go offramp just as the Sheriff took off after the Corvette:-)
The only way to tell that car is anything special is to look at the rims that say AMG cast into the wheel, as there is no badging.....none on the back. I think it's upwards of 600hp with the engine chipped.
