When I pulled the engine on a C900, was sure that I had pulled the shift shaft far enough back so it separated from the coupler. Nope. Bent the shift shaft when the engine came out :-) Had to take the interior apart to put in a spare shaft after I discovered that the shift shaft wouldn't go back into the coupler.
When putting the engine back in, stepped on the clutch pedal one too many times with the clutch tool in the pressure plate. Hyperextended the piston and took a chunk out of the O-ring. Had to take the clutch all apart again, rebuild the slave cylinder, and put it all back together. Lady Luck was smiling on me - had a set of slave cylinder O rings from Sobstory in a box of parts.
Doh!
