Yes, with the cover off you have complete access to the diff and can easily remove the second driver (it will be holding the differential in place with the first driver extracted) while holding and then removing the diff.
I'd pay close attention to which is the right and left driver (mark them). Reassemble (swap?) by placing the differential back up in the cavity and reinstalling your swapped driver.
Keep the shims with each driver.
Keep everything loose and general to make sure you're not doing something wrong before you tighten things back up.
You might also buy and install the rubber oil-seal O-rings (one each) on the drivers while you have them out.
Some aviation gasketing-cement might be handy for at least the bottom half of the driver bolts - it can help seal the threads so your transmission oil doesn't seep from the tightened bolts.

Also, the right side driver cup traditionally goes dry if the car doesn't get proper routine maintenance. The exhaust manifold helps liquify the grease and it leaks out over time from the driver cup. This is a routine occurrence.
